History
It all began in 2004 when neighbors Amy Reed and Leslie Barron saw firsthand the need for professional pet care services in their local community. Both worked full-time and both were avid animal lovers and “dog moms.” Being away from home for stretches at a time required them to seek professional pet care. They quickly realized that the level of professional service that was needed did not exist in their community. So they decided to follow their hearts, leave the corporate world and devote themselves to their passion: caring for animals as a full-time profession. Amy and Leslie established Woofie’s, LLC and created their mission statement: “To ensure that every customer experience is an exceptional one.” They immediately built up a dedicated client base and a team of trusted pet sitters and dog walkers. While the business continued to flourish, many clients asked about mobile grooming services. After researching the market, they developed a business model and purchased the first Woofie’s ® mobile pet spa van. The newly combined service offerings quickly fueled the growth of the company. Today, Woofie’s ® has four locations in Northern Virginia and their reputation for professionalism, reliability and personalized, customer care has consistently earned them numerous awards. Woofie’s ® continues to be on the cutting edge of the $75 billion dollar pet services industry and is the first franchise system to include mobile pet spa services along with pet sitting and dog walking.
