History

Screenmobile was founded in 1980 by Monty M. Walker, (known lovingly as “Pops”) and his two sons, Scott and Monty L Walker. Pops and his sons started repairing and installing screens for their Glendora, California community using a large wooden tent trailer. Based initially out of the Walker family garage, Pops and his two sons would be on the road, repairing, customizing and installing a variety of screens.

Quickly building a reputation for quality, professionalism, and mobility, the Walkers expanded their Screenmobile operations to Palm Springs in 1981. They discovered that they were the only business to screen on-site, allowing for an efficient and timely service that was not replicated elsewhere, a vital element to Screenmobile's expansion.

Realizing that there was a tremendous opportunity for an industry-leading mobile screen repair and installation business, the Walkers envisioned that Screenmobile would become a national leading franchisor. 40 years later, this is exactly what has happened.

If you wanted to run a business alone, you’d have started one yourself. We’re here to back you with 40 years’ worth of experience and a level of support you see in few franchise models in the home services industry.

Never worked a single day in the screen repair industry? We like to say, “ZERO experience, ZERO problem!” We provide a comprehensive 10-day training program at our Screen School which includes 40 hours in a classroom and 40 hours of on-the-job training. Classroom training focuses on administration, marketing, sales, and we simulate on-the-job training with our “Screen House.”
