Ideal Candidate

  • Ideal franchise candidates will have multi-unit development in mind whether they begin with a multi-unit exclusive territory or a single center with a dream to expand.
  • Related experience is helpful, but not required. Examples of related experience include franchise operations, business services, hospitality, real estate and customer service.

History

The first Regus location was opened in Brussels, Belgium in 1989 by founder and CEO, Mark Dixon. Driven by entrepreneurial vision and balanced with a focus on operational excellence and financial discipline, early gains were reinvested to fuel the initial growth of the company. As technology enabled the accelerated growth of independent professionals, small businesses and remote corporate staff, the Regus network grew in numbers and across borders.

The first Regus center opened in the U.S. in 1998, and in 2000 the company went public on the London Stock Exchange. The IPO provided capital for accelerated growth of company-owned locations, acquisitions of similar serviced office businesses, and significant investment in systems, staff and proprietary technologies to take Regus to the next level.

In 2016, Regus established International Workplace Group (IWG Plc.) as the holding company for Regus and a collection of complementary brands focused on the flexible workspace market. Collectively, Regus and the other IWG portfolio brands operate over 3,500 locations in more than 120 countries and generate annual revenue exceeding $3.3 billion. Over 30 years after its inception, the company continues to be led by the vision and commitment of Mark Dixon as its CEO along with a global team of more than 10,000.
